Hard Work

We want to shine. All of us need motivation in life. We have dreams. Some work towards fulfilling them. Some don't. But some do exceptionally well, and this post is about them! The Champions In any field of human endeavor, there is someone who stands as a torchbearer for the future generations. It is because of them, people get the courage to dream about their lives. They break rules. They show that impossible is no more impossible.'INDIA' as it is now, was unknown a few decades ago, the computer was the size of a room when it was invented. When Mc Cauley drafted IPC, minimum marriage age for a girl was 10 years. The USA destroyed Japan's future in second world war. A few decades ago, it seemed that India will be a socialist state. Women were seen as caregivers and nothing else! BUT Now, India is the largest democracy in the world. A 5-year-old  can operate the smartphone. Marriage age for girls is raised to 18 years, girl education and women empowerment are prior...

A love story or a breakup story?

Some stories are so strange. Neither a common man nor can an expert judge those stories easily. This is one such story for me. Planned to be a plain one without twists and turns. But, most of the times, you plan something and life plans something else for you. The story  A girl and a boy entered a relationship without exchanging roses or without saying I LOVE YOU. They chat occasionally and most of the time it was the bliss, of a young love they got. It was not the person but the sense of love that gave happiness to both of them. On those occasional chatting, all they do is make promises and see the voice and the presence of the other. That was enough, and that gave happiness. Days passed, and only days passed. The feeling of love and the desire to live together was getting strong in the girl. She is a girl of dreams and ambitions. Her ability to imagine things overshadowed her understanding of reality. She loved the boy truly, sincerely, not the real one but the one in her i...

Happiness - My definition

Today, I  encountered a question when I was reading a book and got stuck at that. This caused a plethora of thoughts to flock my mind and now I see a sense of taking another stride towards self-awareness.  It is a question of 'happiness'. What is your definition of happiness? The purpose of this blog is to solve this question. Happiness is an abstract concept. It is a feeling that every one of us experience. However, it is a feeling which most of the theorists or economists or placing it the other way, learned men are unable to define. However, there is a general understanding that mortal beings' ultimate goal is the pursuit of happiness. Aristotle put it this way " Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim, and end of human existence". Is happiness the purpose or the purpose is happiness? As Aristotle said, it is the purpose of life to find happiness. Then there is another view which says, having a meaning and purpose to li...

Spreading education -Building future..............

Hello all This is a moment of extreme joy to me. This is a moment to cherish, a story to share!!! Let me jump into the topic........ Rabindranath Tagore dreamt of a world " where the Mind is without fear and knowledge is free".  That great Guruji gave us a vision, rather a mission. A mission that has the effect of a panacea to all the ills of our society when rightly understood and implemented. Most of the founding fathers, stalwarts, visionary leaders and common man and woman like YOU and ME, I guess, share this vision. The vision of an educated, enlightened India. BUT...... We sometimes cannot act, sometimes we fail in it and sometimes, we just don't take that idea seriously. We often complain about the state of things..... when we get time, not an offense, they are the genuine concerns. Sometimes we take up things, to change the way they are, but unfortunately, the world reflects our limitations and we end up there as was the case with me when...

Know the true meaning of a relationship.......It is important!!!

Hello all, LOVE.....What it is............and what makes it true........, I tried to elucidate this in my previous article TRUE LOVE.........   In this article, I pondered on Making and breaking a relationship . My concern here is on the way relationships start and end. So, these days, we have a lot of craze for having a partner(lover as we call them). Relationships start so quickly-I mean, people call it love so soon as if there is no other relationship(name)  for that sort of relationship. So after some days or years of exchanging thoughts, gifts and much more, differences arise between them. They see that as an end to their love and their relationship. Finally, it's a break-up. The story doesn't end here. The present trend is to celebrate a break-up! So soon there is a new relationship. And it is again called as love. They again miss each other, share many things including the story of past breakup(s).  Nothing wrong, it shows that people are open minded. MOVE ON.....

Indian Education system-Should we rethink???

Education and its importance is something that doesn't need any explanation. However, it is something that is deliberately ignored in our country, by our people. And another problem is the present trend in most of the middle classes- an excessive focus on their child's education which often ends up in a disaster. So in this post, I want to dwell on these chronic issues. Education system defines a society and thus a nation. The morals that people uphold, patriotism, scientific bent of people, the amount of workforce that will be available to a nation, the amount of wealth that a country holds ........education has a direct bearing on all these things. The growth of an individual and his outlook on life, for a majority of people, is defined by their school days. The exceptional performance of one either good or bad, if we track down for clues, we can find them in one's school days. So what is the importance that we must attach to something that will have a direct bearing on...

Failure,hope and success...............

I was a student once ridiculed by many, I was a broken heart, I was the one who thought that life is as simple as I plan.I was the one who cried over losing in exams.I was the one who struggled to keep up promises made to my family.I was the one who was least cared by my friends. So I feel that I am qualified enough to write about HOLDING ON DESPITE DIFFICULTIES. Life is always full of surprises  No one knows what is to come by the next moment.Yet many of us fill our minds with full of expectations. When our expectations are beaten by the challenges life gives us, we get disturbed. It is a common thing where people with dreams often are bogged down by smallest disturbances in their plans.Perhaps this happens because those slightest difficulties seem much bigger to them at that moment and they stop there. We often hear many students especially in intermediate stage committing suicides for reasons like, not getting good rank etc., Many youngsters end their l...
