Dance of Love

The wind was swift, trees waved to each other. Falling leaves danced in air and, flowers blossomed with freshness. The pretty girl smiled, looking at the vast blue sky. “What's the news?"asked the restless pegion, The cuckoo sang an empty tune. Galloping squirrels cared nothing and the setting sun waved a good bye. The pretty girl smiled, staring at the gate.  “What's the news!" the grass got curious.   Rabbits left their carrots and hopped into the thick green bushes. Little pups were least interested. They played with their cute new toys. “Someone's here!"shouted the pegion. Tall and handsome, a boy from the beautiful city approached the pretty girl. He smiled and took her hand. As the girl looked into his eyes,  he gave her a gentle kiss. “Ah! The dance of love!"giggled everyone.

Tough Times

Locked up in home,  Not enough work to do, Or not enough interest in work, I give in to the boredom. The hot day fades into a dark night welcoming cool breezes. Wondering if this ever ends,  I sleep like a baby, under the limitless sky. The news rooms are loud, People around are confused and hopeless, Warriors at the frontline are fighting the scary enemy. I give in to spine chilling fear. The hot day fades in to dark night, welcoming cool breezes. Wondering if this ever ends, I sleep like a baby, under the limitless sky.  The world fell apart like mist in sunshine. Uncertainty eclipsed human kind like a thick blanket of darkness. It gets tough to breathe and a life is taken forever. I give in to faith. The hot day fades in to a dark night, welcoming cool breezes.  Wondering if this ever ends, I sleep like a baby under the limitless sky. Creativity yells at my lousy mind, Happiness beggs my attention. Love misses my presence, but, Hope just caught hold of me. This too shall pass, I wil

Understanding Inequality

Economic disparity is the unequal distribution of wealth and opportunity between different groups vis., Society, ethnic group, community or a country. Inequalities are pronounced to this day in the form of economic, social, cultural, ethnic and gendered previlage vs deprivation. Various reports including the Human development report, world inequality report etc., capture the larger picture in the status of economic inequality on a global scale. Approximately, top one percent of the population hold 50 percent of the global wealth. Economic disparity - implications :  Let's ask some questions to understand this better. 1. What happens if the top one percent hold large portions of wealth?  It means, while a kid cries for food, another one owns a personal iPad. While a girl struggles to go to school, another boy affords a medical seat in top notch college with zero merit. While elections seem to offer fair chance to every citizen, the rich can bribe anything and get to the top. In a so

In the mind of a poet

If thought refuses to progress, stuck by sickening grief. If words refuse to articulate, the defeaning noice in mind. I put my pen down. I submit my defeat to the lord of words. If the page rejects to maifest into  a mosaic of thoughts. If ink refutes the flow of beautiful ideas. I put my pen down. I submit my defeat to the lord of words. If the emptiness of  life encroach upon my pristine space. If the confusions of mind occupy my beautiful corner, I put my pen down. I submit my defeat to the lord of words. If worry blurrs the idea,  like anxiety seizing life. If falsity takes over truth, like avarice engulfing authenticity. I put my pen down. I submit my defeat to the lord of words. Vipanchi
