The Nomad's Land

As I embarked on this journey,
Plants and flowers, bees and birds
danced along to the tunes of love.
Rising sun and sparkling sky,
smiling moon and shining stars
invited me to the eternal embrace!

Strolling by those green fields,
I was lost in the warmth of your presence.
You took my hand, while the cool breeze kissed my cheeks.
I got caught up in the nomad's spell!

The mountains were standing still
listening to my mind's whisper.
While the Swift river paid no heed,
you rowed us to the bank,
my dear lover!
I wished for a joyous forever,
And the temple bells sounded blessings.
I got caught up in the nomad's spell!

As we kissed like the loving birds,
The pillars, admired in history, watched us with their curious glimpse.
The littlebig boulders, whispered to each other with a pixie smile.
I wished for an eternity of this bliss.
I got caught up in the nomad's spell!

As the journey goes on,
Your absence is as beautiful as your presence.
Walking alone is as beautiful as holding your hand.
Leaving your side,
is as beautiful as hugging you tight.
Still, I wish to hold on to you for a
moment, a life long.
I'm caught up in the nomad's spell.
But in this land of nomads,
Should I search for a home?!

A love story or a breakup story?

Some stories are so strange. Neither a common man nor can an expert judge those stories easily. This is one such story for me. Planned to be a plain one without twists and turns. But, most of the times, you plan something and life plans something else for you. The story  A girl and a boy entered a relationship without exchanging roses or without saying I LOVE YOU. They chat occasionally and most of the time it was the bliss, of a young love they got. It was not the person but the sense of love that gave happiness to both of them. On those occasional chatting, all they do is make promises and see the voice and the presence of the other. That was enough, and that gave happiness. Days passed, and only days passed. The feeling of love and the desire to live together was getting strong in the girl. She is a girl of dreams and ambitions. Her ability to imagine things overshadowed her understanding of reality. She loved the boy truly, sincerely, not the real one but the one in her i...

The plight of mentally ill in India

Today when I was reading the article on twin prejudices that mentally ill women face in India, a whole array of incidents flooded my mind.It reminded me of my interaction with such-differently abled people or with people around them. There are at least 3-4 instances where I happened to visit or listen to those people. When such incidents happen, many thoughts come to my mind on how can I influence those situations for the betterment of those people. INCIDENTS: This is a boy from a village where I happened to visit a school. He is probably not mentally ill but the growth in his cognitive capacities seem very weak compared to others in his age group. But people there told me not to bother about him because he is MAD. A boy of 20yrs: In a village which I already mentioned when I wrote about SWAPNA.He is born Muslim, initially, he was well but due to unknown reasons, he lost his control over his actions. He started to dance or visit temple or mosque, utter random words. The villagers sta...
