The power of imagination is a wonderful gift that god has given to human beings.Any great thing or an innovation is once a dream in the world of a creator. It is said that who dreams a lot ,creates a lot.
But.................there is a difference between dreaming and getting lost in dreams. You got to dream for sometime, stop it and work towards the path that takes you towards that dream. Many of us miss that and we end up as DREAMERS and not WINNERS.Often, those dreams remain as DAYDREAMS. It is good to daydream when we have endless time, but the fact is we do not have that! Life is short we got to LIVE IT!
I tried many times to overcome this daydreaming mania, I found it hard, at times I slipped into daydreaming unconsciously , in the mid of classes. It is tough to overcome, because it feels really good:-).But this technique gave me strength and helped me overcome this.
Make imagination as your strength.
When you enjoy a lot in dreaming often with your eyes open ,it shows your ability to create a virtual world and live in it.So, that is your strength. You need commitment to focus on things .For that just visualize your role models as your companions( "your board of directors" as said by Robin Sharma).Talk to them, promise them. Here in reality you stay committed to yourself.
For instance my board of directors are : Swamy Vivekananda, A P J Abdul Kalam, Steve jobs, M S Dhoni...and the list goes on.I feel those people as my friends. Those people guard my mind.So no distractions only focus. It really worked for me.I promise the same to you.Believe in it, try it.
If such visualization, living in virtual world, seems like madness...there is a simple logic, "A conscious day dreaming shows your mental stability than that of an unconscious one"..........now you understood what is mad right?
ALL THE VERY BEST!
